Greetings from the Farm!

This is the final week for the Fall CSA. Overall we have had a good growing season this year although it has been one of the most challenging. Starting with the extreme cold then going into a hot May followed by a wet cool June and dry July, August and September it made it very difficult to plan a reliable growing season, except for the weeds. This has been one of the weediest years ever because they all waited till “ideal weather” in late summer to germinate.

But despite all that I think we provided a well rounded assortment of fresh organic vegetables.

We want to thank all of you for your participation in the CSA. Your pre-paid share helps us with our budget and we enjoy seeing how much variety we can pack into the boxes each week. It is challenging and rewarding. We hope you enjoyed your weekly box of produce.

We also have a Spring CSA for 10 weeks beginning in early April and we will let you know when that will start next Spring.

Greetings from the Farm!

Here’s to some more great weather! The honeybees are busy collecting nectar and making honeycombs. Still a long way to go before there is any honey to harvest but the hives are off to a great start.

This weeks share includes:

Kale
Lettuce Mix
Arugula
Green Onions
Beet Greens
Parsley

Enjoy!

Greetings from the farm!

School is out here (last Friday), so summer has officially begun. Plenty of things to keep the boys busy on the farm. The fields are starting to dry out so we got some areas tilled up this week. With the extra hands this week we got the summer squash transplanted out. Yeah!

The green onions and the cilantro are both so fragrant. Smells like summer.

This weeks share includes:

Lettuce Mix
Kale
Chard
Sugar Snap and Snow Peas
Cilantro
Green Onions

Enjoy!
